Accommodation Details

The Old Sunday School sleeps up to five people and is attached to the Old Methodist Chapel, which is our home.

Access is by your own front door which leads, via a hallway, into a large open plan sitting room with dining area and kitchen.

The Old Sunday school has a large sunny conservatory overlooking the garden and facing south and west. It is a delightful spot for meals when outside is a little chilly and at dusk you can watch the barn owls swooping in across the marsh

For quiet evenings in, and 'stay at home' days, there is a television, video player, and a games cupboard.

There are three bedrooms available sleeping up to five people:

The master bedroom has an elegant French double bed, en-suite bathroom and a balcony with table and chairs.

A twin/double and a cozy single with their own seperate bathroom..

Children and dogs are welcome in The Old Sunday School and we have a cot, highchair and dog bowls.

The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, washing machine, dishwasher, hob, pots, pans, cutlery, plates and glasses available should you wish to prepare a meal for yourself. With notice and your shopping list, we can have groceries ready for you on arrival.

We can prepare lunch and dinner for you in The Old Sunday School by arrangement

Usually we can pre-arrange horse riding, canoeing and trout (farm) fishing activities for you.

Generally we assume you will want exclusive use of The Old Sunday School and costs, which are reasonable, vary depending on time of year and the number in your party

Sorry, no smoking, except in the garden and on the balcony.

Getting here is simple just check the map. As an example, by car or train London is about 4 hours away.

It's easy to travel to Bere Ferrers by train via Plymouth. There is a local railway station on the edge of the village. During the 20 minute journey from Plymouth the train runs alongside the naval docks. It continues on beside the River Tamar before crossing the bridge over the River Tavy and arriving at Bere Ferrers station.

If you come to Bere Ferrers by train we will collect you, and at the end of your stay return you to the station.

With The Old Sunday School as your base you will be free to explore the Bere Peninsula, nearby Dartmoor or further afield. We have put together a page of possibilities to help you on your travels. Click on the button below to view.
