The Old Sunday School is a wonderful private retreat. It's a cottage that sleeps up to 5 people, with a wrap-around conservatory looking out over a private garden. The master bedroom has a romantic French double bed, an en-suite bathroom and shower. It has a sunny south-facing balcony overlooking the river and the bird sanctuary and the village beyond. In addition there are two other bedrooms, one with a double or twin bed and the other with a single bed. These all have their own separate bathroom and shower.

We provide a break that has the advantage of a weekend with a day or two added on either side. So arrive Thursday or Friday and depart Monday or Tuesday. Our aim is to be as flexible as possible and not be limited by the 'Saturday to Saturday' system.

The village of Bere Ferrers, with its quay alongside the River Tavy, lies on the Bere Peninsula in Devon. It's a hidden gem, a well kept secret that's off the beaten track and attracts those seeking peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. The ebb and flow of the tidal river brings the scenery alive as the estuary constantly changes from hour to hour. It is ideal for walking, horse riding, bird watching, boating and fishing or simply relaxing.

The Old Sunday School is in the middle of a Site of Special Scientific Interest and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hardly surprising then that both pairs of Photographs (above and below) were taken just a few hundred yards from the front door.
